This is a notebook. I started keeping it in spring 2025, when I finally built the raised bed I had been talking about for years, and it seemed worth writing down what worked and what didn't.

The garden is small: one raised bed, a few big bags along the fence, two fruit bushes and a strip of strawberries. Behind the house there is a pine wood with a forestry track, which is where most of the walking notes come from.

Nothing here is advice. I get things wrong regularly and the notes are mainly so I remember which things.

The notebook moved to its own address in autumn 2026. Posts are added when there is something to say, which in winter is not often.
